Dunn House Shelter provides a safe, welcoming emergency shelter for adults and their children who are experiencing crisis or displacement. Families may stay for up to 30 days while they regain stability and explore next steps in a supportive, confidential environment. At Dunn House, safety, respect, and dignity are at the heart of everything we do.

Community Works surrounds each family with compassionate care, offering resources, advocacy, and guidance tailored to their unique needs. Our goal is to create a calm, supportive space where families can rest, feel secure, and begin rebuilding with hope, confidence, and a renewed sense of possibility.

At Dunn House Shelter, you can expect a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment designed to meet your family’s immediate needs. Each individual or family has a private bedroom with a secure personal lock code, creating space for rest and privacy. All meals, snacks, clothing, toiletries, and essential items are provided at no cost.

Compassionate advocates are on-site 24 hours a day to listen, offer safety planning, and provide ongoing support. Support and education groups are available to encourage healing and connection. Advocates assist with housing, employment, court processes, healthcare, and other vital resources.
